Had account setup for WebConnect but that credit card is now managed by another bank. I need to remove the WebConnect and just turn this into a manual account. Can't seem to find a way to do it.

- edited January 2017Look under the troubleshooting tab. You will ffind a disconnect button.
- edited August 2018Actually, under QM2016 and QM2015 there used to be a hidden keyboard sequence to remove Web Connect info. But as of QM2017, they intentionally disabled this feature for some strange reason.
That said, it does not prevent you from using the account manually.
I have inquired but have yet to get an answer as to how you would assign a new Web Connect connection though.

Any hope of getting a response AND a fix? - edited March 2017For me, I have a checking account that I used to get automatic downloads with in QW2016, though it was prone frequent reprompts for password and the promise that the problem shouldn't happen again anymore.
After upgrade/conversion to QM2017, it at first claimed that I needed to change the password for first online access of the account, but it never actually changes my password. Thought I read it shouldn't have been doing this anyways.
OTOH, it had then started doing this with one of my credit cards....even though each time it would eventually come back as fixed, but never seemed to work. Though Acorns was working until around the start of the year... now that I'm locked out of accessing the account. Online account services seems to have an infinite wait time with random disconnects thrown in, plus online reset results in some sort of internal error, try again, again, again, etc. Not sure if I try calling general card services and letting things fall through if I could get a person that way. As a result, have only used the card once this year, so I knew exactly how to pay bill last month. Of course, I wasn't able to re-set this cards online transactions when I switched to QM2017.
So, in meantime, I downloaded transactions from my bank (which has been known to sometimes get QWin's automatic downloads working again ... for other accounts) Which is kind of a pain, its monthly statement period is not based on calendar month....on top of other oddities with the bank, such as my direct deposit pay didn't show up in downloads until the following week. Instead of expected 12:01am on payday.
Anyways, doing the manual download and import seems to have locked it as a manual webconnect, with no options to change and troubleshooting tab is blank. - edited March 2017

Never heard back...still waiting...but there is a note in the release of v4.5 which is currently being rolled out in limited quantity at the moment. It says:Well, for some reason, I didn't get a notification that any one commented.

'Fixed an issue with Web Connect accounts. They will now work as connected accounts.'
Not very specific but maybe this will fix it? If anyone tests it out, please report back on this issue.

Well, app went to 4.5.7. When is 4.6 due? Also, how would one get to the troubleshooting panel for web connect accounts? Just got 4.6.0 There doesn't appear to be any way to remove the 'Web Connect' from the account. There isn't any 'Trouble Shooting' tab or panel that I can find for the accountWell, for some reason, I didn't get a notification that any one commented.

Select the account, click on settings (bottom right corner), select trouble shooting tab at top of the window. I haven't been upgraded to 4.6.2 yet. Please let us know if you find the deactivate button there.Well, for some reason, I didn't get a notification that any one commented.

Was prompted to upgrade to 4.6.5. Guess what????? The Troubleshooting tab is now in the Web Connect accounts and I can turn off the download!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!

GREAT News! Finally, I can take this off my follow-up to-do list after ALL these months. :-DWell, I am still not getting notifications on this thread and came here today just to check. Then I went back and opened Quicken to get updated quotes for the day. Was prompted to upgrade to 4.6.5. Guess what????? The Troubleshooting tab is now in the Web Connect accounts and I can turn off the download!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!

Wells Fargo is using a technology called Web Connect. This technology automatically launches Quicken, downloads account data into your check register, and matches any transaction you’ve already entered into your register.
- Choose an account for which you would like to receive transaction activity.
- Click Download Account Activity and complete the required information.
Then follow the directions below based on your software type. For information on supported and retired versions of software, please refer to our software retirement guide.
Windows
- A Windows dialog may appear that asks whether you would like to Save or Open the file. Select Open.
- If this is your first time downloading with Web Connect for this account, a dialog box will appear stating 'You are about to download transactions for the following account.' The box will include account information, such as the Account Number and Account Type.
- You will be asked whether you would like to 'Use an existing Quicken account' or if you would like to 'Create a new Quicken account.'
- Use an existing Quicken account: If you already have the account set up in Quicken, and you would like to add on to the existing transaction activity, you should select this option.
- Create a new Quicken account: If you have not set-up this account in Quicken, or if you would like to start a new file for an existing account, you should select this option. After selecting this option, follow the steps for setting up the new account.
- When Quicken confirms that the Web Connect data has been successfully downloaded to Quicken, select OK.
- Repeat these steps for each account you would like to download into Quicken.

- You can double click on the .qfx file or import the file using the 'file' menu to import transactions.
